I remember my mother telling me in 1941 that the witnesses came to her apartment and scared her, saying "It's five minutes till midnight." At the time my dad was in the marines and of course WWII was on. She was afraid. She didn't become a witness but years later, in 1973 I did.
It's always "five minutes till midnight." I remember the 1975 thing. How long can they hold out at the pinnacle of excitement? It gets exhausting.

Another "special announcement" type thing to get people to go to the Kingdumb Hell. They seem to have been doing that a lot lately. Probably in lieu of giving people something of real substance to look forward to.

Tired of the Hypocrisy
They are shameless in their attempts to get people to show up to their meetings. Parents are worst of all because they are desperate and feel like they are responsible for you even after you grow up. It is sad they stoop to these tactics.

Anything to manipulate the masses. Honestly, does anyone else remember them saying that the Book Study had to remain at homes and would most likely be the pattern followed in the the end, when their religion was made illegal. Change in understanding. Personally, I saw it as no big deal, but my in-laws are about to drink the punch.
