Reason for the 8-Month Announcement

  The question has been raised, "Why was the announcement about the Congregation Bible Study announced 8 months before implementation?"

  I believe it is simply a matter of how the WTS plans things. The Theocratic Ministry School schedule comes out in the October KM. How far in advance are the KMs written? How far in advance is next year's TMS schedule planned?

  Since the CBS will be merged with the TMS and Service Meeting, and those schedules will probably be worked up in the next few weeks; the GB needed to let the R&F know what was going on. The GB couldn't let somebody in Writing/Teaching/Printing leak the information out. Having relatives and friends at Bethel, they always let us know when something new is released.

  I believe if the announcement had not been made, as soon as the 2009 TMS schedule was created/hit the printing press it would have been leaked.

  So, we know product to consumer is 8 months. Looks like God's uninspired, S L O W channel. It only took my wife one more month to make a whole human from scratch. I'm glad these guys chose a book printing company and not a bakery to make their money.

  I think we would find that the WTS has already scheduled the material for the "book study" through January 1, 2009, with enough material to be covered in an hour. I also think it will take the elders and the congregation that long to make adjustments. I think that the insert for the school starts with January every year, requiring an adjustment as well. I wonder what talks will be dropped in the TMS to accommodate the time adjustment. Instruction Talk (shortened?), BH, #2, #3 (sister only) #4 talk. Perhaps the #4 talk will be dropped and the #3 will alternate sister/brother.

  I thought of the same thing, and the new school schedule starts in January. The present one is a 45 minute meeting, isn't it? If they are shortening the meeting, the schedule will have to have adjustments. Shorter or less talks.

  How long is the Grate Tribulation supposed to last? If it lasts less than 8 months, JWs won't know it has arrived until they're in Paradise Erf.

  Although I'm not surprised, I didn't know the info was so stale as presented in the KM.

  Why couldn't they just make a supplement to the meeting with the changes now and then include it in the new arrangement in 2009. They made supplement before, it would not be that difficult to do this and ease the "GAS BURDEN " now, not eight months later.
