My daughter's age group use the term
"Shut uuup" when they are surprised by something, when it was first said to me I was in shock, and thought wow that was
rude till I said something to my daughter after and she clarifyed it to me.

"No way!"
Reply: "Way."
"The Slave".....I think hearing Witnesses say this is stupid sounding. And "Mother" drives me nuts too!
" you sound like a broken record."
This may not be silly, but in the age of the ipod the new generation has no idea what this expression means.
Me, too, Minimus. Another JWism that drives me up the wall is "the friends" as in "the friends will make sure I have a ride to the meeting." (heard recently by an elderly JW lady no longer able to drive)
Silly JW expressions:
The truth
The society
a little while longer
friends
the slave
The organization
" you sound like a broken record."

That made me think about an incident recently when I mentioned I needed to fill up the ice trays. (My refrigerator's ice maker isn't connected). My little grandson asked me what is an ice tray. Then I began thinking about the metal ones when I was a kid with the lever on the top that lifted up to loosen the cubes. (Sorry, Minimus, I got off topic)
how about this one:
Happy birthday to me
It's cheap at half the price
Hearing "The Friends" was always eerie to me. That is very cultish sounding.
