He has never had a name and has never answered to anything even though he's nearly 5. He's always been a racing greyhound.
Thanks for the suggestions so far.
I think Basil would remind me of Fawlty Towers, don't know if you've ever seen that the other side of the pond, but Basil is a character John Cleese made famous. Also i can't use Chap, i live in an area of England known as the black country, we call men and women, chaps and wenches here.
But i will let you all know on Monday what we're going to call him.
