Most ones seeking advice never take whats offered ne ways, so i think its a mute point
LOL! So true!
I have a friend who is a professional relationship counselor. He says 99% of the people who come to see him just want to vent and complain and they want him to side with them and say they are right and their partner/child/family member is wrong! He says he can count on his fingers the amount of clients he has ever had who actually take his advice, take responsibility for their own actions and put into practice meaningful changes in their lives.
I imagine that is quite frustrating if you are a trained professional and that is your success rate. So, all of us armchair psychologists can probably rest easy in the knowledge that know one ever really listened to us or followed our bad advice anyway!
