The number you quote denies the glory of God. Since God is the giver of life, He is justified in taking that life. There is not one death in all of history, that God is not responsible for.

So because God created a living being it's okay for him to beat the hell out of it and kill it if he wants to ? Now that's a warm and fuzzy thought ! If humans are ever able to clone other humans I guess it will be okay to use them for target practice !

You know, I've always thought about the massive amount of loss of life and destruction that would have been caused by a global flood.I mean, God couldn't find even ONE decent person besides Noah and his family ? And the animals...they're sinless , right ? SO why punish them for what man did ? Oh, I know...it's a demonstration of love...

Forget clones, what are children but the creation of their parents? By this reasoning a parent is perfectly justified in torturing her child to death.

Yes, I certainly was thinking about children but didn't mention it for a couple of reasons.

    1. I was hoping it would provoke a bit of contemplation on the part of Deputy Dog to reply with something like: "Why don't you just go ahead and say kids because some would consider them similar to clones."

2.Some consider potential clones(human ones) to be "less than human" and perhaps even "property", thus the controversial nature and subsequent protests against such a practice. The subject of "ownership" ,"creation" and "legality" comes into play.I suppose if it advanced far enough the clone could be custom made without pain receptors or not even self aware for the purpose of organ harvesting or something similar.

A number of movies have touched on such a thought-provoking subject as cloning and for good reason; because if this world lasts long enough, eventually it will happen.

Just as clones have no choice, so the supposed offspring of Adam and Eve.Condemned to death and designed to make a point as an unwilling participant in the issue of: "Universal Sovereignty. So much for "free will"."You don't have to cooperate ...but I don't have to let you live either."

The idea that we humans are essentially "property" with which God can do as He pleases certainly is not limited to JW's.Nevertheless, I find it no less demeaning and alienating to think that God would view living beings as pawns to be used in some galactic chess (or pissing) match...

    Isaiah 29:16 (New International Version)
16 You turn things upside down,
as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!
Shall what is formed say to him who formed it,
    "He did not make me"?
Can the pot say of the potter,
    "He knows nothing"?
    Isaiah 41:25 (New International Version)
25 "I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes—
one from the rising sun who calls on my name.
He treads on rulers as if they were mortar,
as if he were a potter treading the clay
    Isaiah 45:9 (New International Version)
9 "Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker,
to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground.
Does the clay say to the potter,
    'What are you making?'
    Does your work say,
'He has no hands'....do you question me about my children,
or give me orders about the work of my hands?
YOU DONT FUCK with Jehovah. Anyone that ever fucked with Jehovah died or is on death row. You want to question him, then prepare to die. You need answers , shut up or die. You want compassion ..shut up and like it. You want love, well GOd so loved the world he gave his Son so shut up and like it. YOu dont like it, then you have made your decision and are rebellious against Jehovah and deserve death.
    ANY Questions?

As Jehovahs witnesses we came to know the truth and we believed it was the truth. But then we started to question things. Why? ITs human nature to question. If we say as JWs we didnt need to question anything then we deny ourselves our natural use of our minds. TO believe Jehovah wanted us to Not question anything is as ridiculous to me as believing he exists in the first place. Reading the Bible from front to back one gets the impression it is a mix of events that happened long ago intermingled with superstition and myth and with the passage of time ...well we see the end result. I ask YOU what is the GLORY of GOD. What does it mean Can you define it. Show it to me. Explain it in terms I can appreciate with my mind?

The Bible is pretty consistent though isnt it? THere is a consistent amount of killing throught the Hebrew Scriptures. THen all of a sudden that consistency is out the window. WHY? WHy does Jesus arrival on earth mark the end of Gods kill at any whim any moment? Theres a few kills in the Greek Scriptures with some warnings about how the end will BE death and destruction ... but no death tolls. THAT is not consistent. Something is messed up here. God kills and then GOd stops killing. Its as if HE found a reason to stop killing whenever he feels like it. So instead of actual death tolls we have threats of death. THreatening us with death if we dont accept. So the deaths are replaced with death threats. ...sigh.

As far as Satan, the dubs would argue he's killed everyone that's died in the history of the world.

DD, you are an idiot of the first order.

LOL Thanks nic, you make me smile! I've had people say far worse things, while they were holding a gun or some other weapon, and I'll bet you would like to spit in my eye too. As one who routinely goes into harm's way, to keep peace and to maintain order, I think about my own mortality quite often, and I find comfort in the idea, that it is God who has my days numbered and decided the manner and means of my death. As for those who think they can keep themselves alive without God, "their foot shall slide in due time"

You can't even get your own nonsense straight. Surely you meant to say that "there is not one death in all of history, that God *is* responsible for".

I was never a JW, so I don't carry that baggage. BA

Dont forget to contrast that against the number of people that satan killed.
There is not one death in all of history, that God is not responsible for.
