Gahhh, I love the Peppers, but they can't compare to '70's funk
Although, I was just listening to Ice Cube, and I gotta say, I don't think I can ever listen to the Isley's "Footsteps in the Dark" without thinking about "Today was a good day".

I liked the funk that was out alongside disco. The likes of Kool and the Gang, EWF, The Commodores (some of their music was funk), Sly and the Family Stone, and Midnight Star come to mind.
