Jehovah's Witness---ARE THEY ENJOYING THE SABBATH?

  According to the Bible timetable, man's history on earth has been nearly 6,000 years. Adam was created in 4026 B.C.E., which means that six thousand years of human history end about the fall of 1975 C.E. We are in the great 7,000-year rest day of God, starting at the time he rested after the creation of Adam and Eve. There are, therefore, a thousand years left to run. Without Satan and his demons to disturb mankind it will indeed be a restful time. It will be like a sabbath.Watchtower 7/15/67 pg.446-7

  Are the brothers and sisters at the local Kingdom Hall enjoying the 1,000 year reign of Christ that started in 1975?

  The reason I ask is, they don't seem to have ever mentioned it again!??

  Did I miss the articles or discussion?

  What gives?

  Are Jehovah's Witnesses simply living in that loooooooooong sabbath?

  p.s. Why are we apostates still alive and kicking? I'm beginning to think the Sociey's chronology was in error, but, I may be hyper-critical. They are the mouthpiece of Jehovah and these articles are published under the banner of JEHOVAH'S Kingdom. If this were all an error it would bring shame and mocking on Jehovah. True christians would never do that sort of thing.

  p.p.s. Now that Satan and his demons are gone, why is there still bad news on t.v.? I'm puzzled!

  Uh...Terry...it's very complicated. Minds like yours lack the proper spiritual maturity to understand the

  complicated chronological details that clarify this issue. In other words.....ask Obves or JCanon.

  For heavens sake Terry----don't you realize that we don't know how long it was before Jehover created Eve? That's the excuse you get as to why The End didn't come in '75.

  I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that it's an "antitypical sabbath" that you enjoy as long as you make it to ALL the meetings, ALL the ASSemblies and get at least 10 hours in each month.

  Terry! For shame! First of all, above all else how could you question what Jehovah's channel of communication has dispensed to its domestics as food at the proper time. Any honest-hearted person knows that the men on the governing body are trying as hard as possible as Satan works overtime on them to try to deceive them.

  Ummm.

  Actually the WT has stated in their 7/15/08 study WT that the world will know when Jehovah pronounces judgment on the world that their message has originiated from him. So this 1975 message, according to their own words, must have originated from him. I seem to remember Deut 18 talking about what happens when one speaks something in the name of God and it doesn't come to pass.

  This is the Sabbath Schedule:

  Monday--Get up at 4:30 AM to make sure you are at the Kingdumb Hell for field circus. At 5:30, meet for street work. Meet for regular field circus at 9 AM and at 1, 3, and 6 PM. The 3 PM time is for children that have to go to school, so they can be out in field circus instead of working on homework.

  Tuesday--Get up at 4:30 AM to make sure you are at the Kingdumb Hell for field circus. Meet for street work at 5:30 AM. Regular field circus is at 9 AM and 1, 3, and 6 PM. Now that there is no more separate book study, you are required to be out in field circus this evening.

  Wednesday--Get up at 4:30 AM to be at the Kingdumb Hell for field circus. At 5:30, meet for street work. Regular field circus meets at 9 AM and 1, 3, and 6 PM.

  Thursday--Get up at 4:30 AM so you will be at the Kingdumb Hell for field circus at 5:30 for street work. Regular field circus meets at 9 AM and 1 and 3 PM. The boasting session starts at 7:30 PM, lasting until 10 PM. Write letters or do phone calls (which is required any night) until 1 AM or so, right after the boasting session.

  Friday--Get up at 4:30 AM so you will be at the Kingdumb Hell for field circus at 5:30. Regular field circus starts at 9 AM and 1, 3, and 6 PM.

  Saturday--Get up at 4:30 AM for field circus--street work starts at 5:30. Regular field circus meets at 9:30 AM and 1 and 6 PM. No school means no 3 PM meeting.

  Sunday--Get up at 4:30 AM for street work so you will be at the Kingdumb Hell by 5:30. Some will have boasting sessions at 9:30 AM--they report for those and go out in field circus after. Those with afternoon boasting sessions meet for field circus at 9:30 AM and report for their boasting sessions with more field circus after the boasting session. Meet again for evening field circus at 6 PM.

  Now, doesn't that sound like a light schedule?

  When I first started studying with Jehovah's Witnesses (my best friend and his mom) back in 1959 there was a constant patter about the TYPICAL and ANTI-TYPICAL this and that fulfillment of scripture. Thus and so was a SHADOW OF this and that. Like a constant background drumbeat this jargon filled every topic.

  It vanished with that whole era of belief!

  The JW's of today don't even resemble the same religion I discovered at age 12!!

  It is like Invasion of the Body Snatchers! Nothing but walking pods everywhere!!

  Many people make a horrible mistakes by looking back on how people understood the Bible decades ago and they don't take time and energy to search for the latest understanding of the Bible.

  The timeline the Watchtower gives is not all perfect but still one of the best and reliable.6000 years had passed from Adam in 1974 AD . Even earlier one year and yet this 6000-year period stands today .

  The day as I had explained is 1010 years.

  So we must locate the 6060 -year period.

  If we take 1974 AD we need to add 60 years that will lead us to 2034 AD.
