It's not my sort of music. (I'm more of a metal head) But they're pretty good.
Very much.
This week I was listening to his Variations op. 27 by Glenn Gould -- beautiful.
Glenn Gould? Could you hear the tune over his humming?
Can't say I have ever listened much to Webern. I really can't get into atonal stuff. (he is atonal, right?) I got him mixed up with Weber when thinking about it just now and it occurred to me I like the Clarinet Concertos. But that was a mix up.
I am a big fan of Glenn Gould however. Especially when he plays (and hums tunelessly) Bach or Mozart.
Now that you mention Webern though, I think I will give his music a go. He was Austian after all, and I have a special affection for all things Austrian.
I am currently in a bit of a Mahler phase myself. What fantastic panache!
