    pointless post

What do you mean point less post?

The guy is new and giving a sales pitch that's against the rules.....My son can do the same thing that doesn't mean that I'm going to try to solicit people to make a few bucks.

Whether he's good or not, I think past jw experiences show how people have been involved in sales and gimmicks and has cost them time and money. We are trying to escape

    this sort of stuff.

    No longer gullible,

    Everything should be investigated thoroughly!

Making money online is like making money anywhere else. You need to have a decent business plan, a good customer base and a product that people want now. Good luck!

    Pinball,

I have read your response to Ak-Jeff,

My sincere apologies for being abrupt with you. Hopefully we can start over from the beginning.

I'm looking into doing paid online surveys - not a great money maker I know but every little helps! If anyone can recommend any reputable sites which offer this, or give me some advice on what to look out for, I'd be most grateful

(due to the very poor exchange rate I'm not currently looking for ones which pay in US$ - unless they pay good money lol!)

Same here. Not getting a lot of hours with my current job (not consistently anyway), and am also in the process of setting up a website myself. Hoping to change my career from supermarkets to something in the field of graphics design. Would appreciate any advice.

this thread is good if people help each other with ideas that work.

Be very wary of the SURVEYS thing you guys....most of them are just gathering your information so they can send you THEIR advertising on THEIR business or to trick you into signing up for other goods and services and subscriptions! And...your inbox will fill up with junk in a matter of hours. Been there and done that. Be VERY careful what information you put out there for them.

I tried two other online money making businesses as well....made NO money and it wasnt for a lack of effort on my part by any means. Its like Vegas people...they can afford all those gorgeous buildings and fountains and lights because the great majority of people LOSE money there.

Good luck....do your homework. If its too good to be true...it IS too good to be true.

    Hi Pinball

I am sure you have lots of great business ideas and doing it online would be great. Someone like me is always looking for online business as I am recently immobilized because of a chronic disease but I can spend hours on the computer typing etc. I get people bombarding me with things like you just offered daily on Myspace, and my own professional website emails. But I make it a policy to never never do business with unsolicited approaches from strangers. What is the motivation other than to make money and promote your own business. Mind you thats not a sin but there is no trust there yet.

I am able to do my own website set ups, domain registration, etc etc.........need no help there and do not pay fees because of it. Well I have to pay for the internic yearly fee and of course have to pay the server host. I am thinking of getting my own server.

I just never would ask here because I don't like to solicit or ask for business tips on this type of a Discussion board. We are here to help each other emotionally, spiritually but not financially.

Just my opinion on how I see posts like this. .

Yes,I have made money on-line. I have a small web-presence. No domain name... just have a few web pages hosted on the ISP I use.

I write custom software for the CAD (computer-aided design) package that I use to do PCB (printed circuit board) layouts.

I started in 1998 - where I made about $3k that year. It peaked in 2001 with over $4k, and has dropped off to zilch. This is due to the software being discontinued.

Anyway, I have decided to go another direction - still offering my wares on-line - this time it will be hardware that I have designed and offer to others who want to use it.

The hardware? High-power LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes), Low Voltage Detectors (LVDs), etc that can be used for solar-powered (or solar-assisted) living.

Difficult to explain - other than to say that by using LED lighting here - powered by a 12-volt battery - charged by a solar panel on the roof - over the last year, I have probably saved myself over a hundred dollars on the electric bill. That doesn't sound like much - but it can be expanded to encompass a larger savings.

Anyway... I'm rambling. On-line selling can be done... one just needs to have a product - and then market it.

    Regards,

    Jim TX
