Thank you RR!

I'm not trying to slam the guy, but it occurred to me that Jules Verne (February 8, 1828 – March 24, 1905) was a more reliable and trustworthy prophet than CTR (February 16, 1852 – October 31, 1916) could ever hope to have been.
Some of the thngs Jules Verne predicted sort of came true. Nothing CTR predicted came to pass.
Well Natan, Russell NEVER claimed to be any kind of prophet.

Nathan,

Not to mention Gene Rodenberry. In the 1960's he foresaw floppy disks, cell phones (communicators), hand held lasers, flat screen monitors, talking computers and non/semi-invasive surgery to name a few. He was a far better Faithful and Discreet Slave than the GB since he NEVER tried to predict the start of Armageddon.

C'mon, RR, you've got to know what a bogus and evasive argument that is!
Okay - Russell wasn't a prophet, but whatever prophets he was relying on to provide his personal glimpse of the world of tomorrow were full of crap, so Russell was selling second-hand crap.
Is that better?
Der Farkelmeiste spake thusly:
Not to mention Gene Rodenberry...
I chose Verne because he was a contemporary of CTR's.
Roddenberry was a contemporary of Knorr's, and yes, he was far more positive and hopeful visionary that that hateful, angry, self-righteous old department-store-manager ever was!
Was someone from the original 1918 breakaway involved in making this publication? Just curious.

Natan, I can't argue with an athiest.
