This board was a lifesaver for me.
Meeting other people who were born in and struggling to get their head together let me know I wasn't alone by any means. We can vent, hold each others hand, celebrate when good things happen.
Oh yeah, and Werewolf. I've made great friends there, even re-newed a friendship with someone I had lost track of. Love you, Bumble Bee!!!
I come here to keep tabs on this cult that enslaves the majority of my family.
I also want to be able to share and help any that are getting out of this organization and I like reading their stories.
Sidenote:
Since I have been coming here I have had the funniest dreams regarding the JW religion. Interesting...
I lurk more than anything else. But mostly, I come here to learn. And I have learned so much from all posters, real people, each and every one with his/her own opinion and perspective. Priceless.
My husband kept trying to get me to look at Jwd for what seemed like ages, finally I day I did. I guess out of curiosty I wondered what
a bunch of apostates could possible say to hold my interest.
What have I found and struck me deeply was people who have gone through many sad and tramatic experiences who want to help others become free
from the enslavement and mind control of a religion that not only held them captive, but in many instances have and still hold there family's
kidnaped.
This place has given me friends that I only could have dreamed of before, they understand, they encourage, they have a deep love for what is really
is truth and right and their expereinces have truly enlightened my life.
And this place is so up to date on whats happening at the Wt it amazes me.......Its the best!
Its given me hope for others... in many ways more than I could imagine (pun intended) and lots of needed laughs in my life.
Somehow I hope that I can also encourage others
in a positive way.

Hi, Mr. flipper,
I have visited this site for years simply to be aware of any changes that would effect my nephew, sister, and dad. I didn't participate much because, well, I was really here for information, so, unless a topic caught my eye or made me want to comment, for the most part I just popped in every day to see if there was anything I needed to know about.
Now I also play Werewolf here. It's not the main reason I'm here, but it's a fun distraction and it gets me to participate a little bit more ;)

By the size of those things she needs more support than I do.
Well JWD helps me cope with what the wt has done to me.
I credit this board with about 75% of helping me see the reality of the WT.
It helps me to see others who had the same experience as myself.
I feel better when I can help someone else in the same situation. It is difficult to explain this religion to someone who has never been in it. because they look at you like you are from another planet. Only those who were in can truly understand.

I get a bit of everything here!
This JWD Board has :
1) k ept me Sane - I know I'm not alone in my situation or my feelings. As well I've learned its normal that it takes A LOT of time to fully break free from the WT's mind control.
2) It's i ntroduced me to truly caring people , who are the best support system! :)
3) And of course, it Keeps me up to date and even ahead of the game in regards to what the WT is feeding its followers.
I've never paid more attention to WT stuff in my life! LOL
I am very grateful to have found this board and to be a part of, as Hope4Others said, "this great bunch".

I first came here for answers. A little bit like a kid whose parents don't talk about sex with him, so he goes to another place to learn about it. Then, I came here to vent and now I come here to share and get the new light before the other JWs, so I can brag about in the KH. I still HAVE to go to the KH, but, thanks to the board I am free inside. Thank you guys. -ootb

WT WIZARD- That's a really good motive WT - trying to make people think twice before joining the witnesses.
PRINCESS DAISY BOO- I agree with you. It is nice to get understanding on the board. We do gain friends on the board- it's nice. I'm glad JWD has helped you confront issues.
LOUBELLE- I always appreciate your posts ! You are a sincere , well spoken , respectful person who always puts a smile on my face. I agree this board has certainly helped many of us vent out our frustrations in a healthy way.
MICKEY MOUSE- Good point you make about hearing about " cult mind control " . It helped me a lot seeing why I had been controlled all those years in the witnesses.
BLACK SHEEP- I'm glad JWD has helped you see you are not alone. I too want to get my JW family out in time.It sure would be a nice thing to meet everybody on the board.
JAGUARBASS- I too find the board interesting.
SNOWBIRD- I hope you are successful in getting your relatives out ! JWD does help us to see ways we can talk to others to get them out of the cult. Being a witness does use our gas up- very true !

SEEKING HELP- Welcome to the board ! I hope the word is getting out to the witnesses that the reason the Watchtower is trying to solicit donations more from members is because of the child abuse lawsuits 1 It would be great for people to put 2 and 2 together.
DINAH- It's true being with others here who have gone through what we have lets us know we are not alone.
LAYLA 33- Good reasons you have for being here too ! Keeping tabs on the cult and helping some get out of the organization. So you've had strange dreams about the JW religion ? Care to share them ?

HOPE 4 OTHERS- I'm glad you joined your husband on the board ! I agree it is amazing the sad experiences people are continually dealing with to cope with exiting the witnesses. It's like the same drum being banged every time ! And in trying to deal with witness family members . You are a big encouragement on the board Hope and you do encourage people in a positive way ! I like your posts !

LOOSIE- It is a great feeling to know others have experienced things like ourselves . And that we can help them as well ! Sometimes I feel like we came we came from a different planet !
RUTH EEKER- JWD does keep us sane - I agree ! Lots of caring people here on board who have been through hard times themselves who can assist us; and we do keep up with the latest WT stuff so we can better deal with our witness relatives !
