Every working day since I was d/f in 1993 + tie + black socks + black shoes and I carry a case. Oh yes I've still short hair (mind you nature has a bit to do with that...).
So 40 years alive and 40 years wearing a suit - 1st mail here and I look like a jw...:-)))
Tina,
I'm with you. I dress up way more now that I'm outa the dubs. If I have appointments with customers I'm required by company dress code to wear a suit, hose, and heels. The only other difference between my wardrobe now versus my wardrobe then is that now my clothes have taste! I see pictures of when I was a dub and ARRRGGGHHH! Same with my JW family. Both my parents and brothers are a good looking family. But their taste in dress clothes is atrocious! Did we all have that bad of taste in clothing or was it just in my family? LOL Actually I remember brothers in the hall dressing nicely and tastefully and it was considered "weak", "trendy", or even "worldly"! Haha! Okay - that's me today...I just consider myself to having "taste".

Unfortunately yes! I don't have to at weekends!

hey KenUK - howdy and welcome !
sleepy - actually like wearing a suit - however, love changing out of it when i would normally be going to the hall (yipee) ... sigh ... life is sooooo much sweeter innit ?
talking of bad taste clothes - the halls and conventions did seem to have such a cool array of 70s polyester on parade - and stripey ties that clash badly with checked shirts ...
It took years to be comfortable wearing a tie. I do wear suits often now for business. I prefer a sport coat and slacks rather than a suit though. I do not think any group would be very happy if they tried to force me to dress in any style. The dress style did not bother me as much as the JW enforcement of the dress codes.

I have worn a suit twice in four years. Once, to go see Paul Stanley (of legendary KISS fame) perform as the Phantom Of The Opera, and once to a Halloween party where I went as a Jehovah's Witness (complete with bookbag and several _Revelation Climax_ copies).

It is a rare occasion when I wear a suit. When I moved to the US my wardrobe consisted of numerous suits, jackets, dress pants, white shirts and ties, for work and congregation use. My alternative dress was jeans and T-shirts with little in between them and suits.
I found very quickly that the company I worked for and most clients had or soon did change to "business casual". I had to buy a whole new wardrobe. While I still wear polos and khakis I can wear jeans to work in my new job and frequently I do.
I did apear in divorce court dressed in a suit. Unfortunately, dressing in a suit to court makes you look like a lawyer. And I was approached by a number of people looking for their representative.
The only other occasions have been funerals and Christmas parties...when I've worn a suit -- not impersonating lawyers.
