    Girlneedingtruth:

I guess its so many apostate hate groups out there and you just can't deal with all of them, so you'll just have to let them spend their time spreading as many lies and hate as they can and those with real truth just have to keep letting them cause in the end everyone will know who's right and who's wrong.

I get so tired of people making a big deal about the governing body. Every religious group has some type of a governing body or group of people or pastor that make decisions about church affairs and the direction they should go in. JW's don't worship men but they trust the info they receive from the governing body is bible based info. They serve only Jehovah in his son's Jesus name. They do not use mind control but teach what the bible really says, is this why they are hated?

Also an apostate is someone that does not accept true worship and is against those who do. An apostate is a former believer and now is against what he use to agree with. I am not sure you are this, but I listened to video and though it makes some good points I disagree with the way it shows JW's as a cult. They are not a cult out to do mind control but to teach people the truth about the bible and about Jehovah and his purpose nothing more, people can accept it or not it is a personal choice.

In the bible God and Jesus tells us to be humble and willing to listen to those that have taken the position to lead us with love. This is God's system that we trust in the brothers and it is definitely a personal choice if you want to be a witness, you aren't forced to but because God is a God of order there has to be some order in religion. No one can put God in a box and say exactly who is anoited or who will be saved because it isn't us who make that decision but God and Jesus, so I don't assume ever that any one group has all the answers because human error is always involved. They only one that has all the answers is God himself and until the end none of us can know or assume, that is my point.

I feel that when they make a mistake they aren't afraid to fix it and based on bible information give you the chance to find out for yourself if it's true or not. I respect this about them, and I feel that through continuos study that the truth is revealed to anyone honest hearted enough to accept it, not just JW's. They don't use the word channel, but the bible says when 2 or more are gathered in my name I am there meaning, God is there. If this is so I feel that they are doing God's will according to his word. I believe that they have the truth for me, but all need to make their own decision on that.

If you know your scriptures than you realize that God is the one who has set the standard for disfellowshipping and early christians did it if a person didnt stand up according to God's standards. God is the one that has given men to teach and reprove amongst themselves, not men. According to the scriptures disfellowshipping is done in stages, first a brother will approach the one in trouble, then a view will approach, if that doesn't work then the whole congregation, if that doesn't work and the person doesnt turn around they have no choice but to disfellowship according to scripture, this is God's law not men.

WRONG: "they don't use the word channel"

Our heavenly Father has an appointed CHANNEL of communication, "the faithful and discreet slave." -Kingdom Ministry Sep 2002 p. 8

The "greatly diversified wisdom of God" can become known only through Jehovah's CHANNEL of communication, the faithful and discreet slave -Watchtower October 1, 1994 p. 8

Likewise, God has a CHANNEL for giving spiritual nourishment to his 'slaves' today. -Revelation Book p. 16

I do study alot but maybe I missed it. If they use channel maybe that's what they really believe and I won't argue cause to me they have the truth, but thanks for your info just the same even though I don't accept all of it. I wish I could stay a little longer but I need to head out, maybe I'll come back and chat some more, take care and talk to you soon, bye!

Another poster, struggling with English apparently:

hello friends...i am someone that is going to be baptized this summer...i like to think that i am not a stupid person so i tried to look ferther to what other have to say about the JW...and let me tell you this...i would rather be a member of a "cult" that brainwashes me,who's one of their leaders ( your favorit Reymont Franz)..when he dicide it to be apart from it...he had in the bank the astronomical amount of 600 dollars..than to be a member of whatever you mean "good religion" who's if you open a bank account of the smalest clerk in the vatican,or the orthodox church,or your americans televangelists, you will find zillion of dollars...!!!
for me that says a lot....an awyful lot
    sorry from my english...
PS...i am looking forward your next episode...it just makes my believes stronger...really...its not a sarcasm!

Thank you for posting, but the language barrier is in the way of your point. Can you clarify? These are the last few days of your ability to question the doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses. Once you are baptized you could be disfellowshipped if you insist on viewing information like this or even discuss "apostate" thoughts. Are you sure you want to hand over your mind like that?

hello again...thanks for the replay...i think that you are using the "appeal to fear" strategy...or am i wrong?:)
look...i know what happens after i baptised...my mother raised me as a jehova witnees.but i was never baptised.i am 30 years old and when i become 18 i went to enjoy the "goods" of life apart from the JW...

what i ment was that when reymont franz left the JW eventhouth had the most power position in the organizasion he had in his bank account 600 dollars and he was forced to work in a groshery shop to make a living!!!! imagine....the ONE from the "EVIL" governing body the highest rank of command in the JW organization!!!!and this are not my words...its his and i think you know it!

so my point is this.....YOU say that the GB all its want is to have the control of us...
lets say i agree...to gain WHAT???
1.finiancial power? i think my previous example shows that its not about the money..
    2. political influence?? i think you know that this asemption makes no sense...
3.Global goverment??? i think that you know that they will never be a time that most of the people in planet earth will become JW!!
    just ask me this...."Qui Bono?"
    satan???lol

...The organisation maybe VERY rich but their highest members do NOT benefit from it....its like saying that MICROSOFT is the riched corperation in the word but Gates and its sherholder are poor!!!
as for your last comment....did PAUL hade graeter wisdom than the other 1st centure christian? and if he did...who gave him the authority to make sugestions?

PS: reymont Franz was offerd a pension by the WT but he refused it.

    "Well if you knew scripture"

LOL. Classic. Cookie cutter answer and dodging the question. I had a similar conversation with my mom a couple of days ago.

"They are not a cult out to do mind control but to teach people the truth about the bible and about Jehovah and his purpose nothing more, people can accept it or not it is a personal choice."

    THE TRUTH........DING! :D

Not very personal when an entire religion is told to shun you based on a judgement passed down by imperfect men, more than likely not qualifyed to be in that position to begin with. Say that to tens if not hundreds of thousands of young people who made the commitment of baptism not realizing what they're getting themselves into, all based on emotion or to please others.

They make it seem like it's so easy to leave or something. Silly JW, freewill is for worldly people....

Uh, if God is speaking directly through the GB, how could they make a mistake? This girl's statement assumes that God has absolutely no idea what he is doing. The JWs believe that God is without error. If God is without error, everything from the mouths of the GB regarding doctrine should be without error. If there is error in what they say, what they say isn't from God. If what they say isn't from God, then they aren't really God's channel. If they aren't God's channel as they claim to be, well, then they're just liars.

    JW-Think, cult-think... whatever.

The WTS has done a magnificent job of creating protein robots that never question orders.

It is frustrating, but I find myself feeling sorry for them. Most of us were victims at one time or another.

I often wonder if this is the reason active witnesses are discouraged from the likes of YouTube etc. Not so much the fact they are "associating" with "apostates" but to stop them from giving out too much information publicly.

To anyone who hasn't been indoctrinated, they must look incredibly brainf***ed, I think their comments can often have more of an impact to turn someone away from their beliefs than the apostate's video itself...

    Good point.

It's better to stay away from Youtube and let the public think you are in a crazy mind control cult, than to post comments on a video and confirm that you are in a crazy mind control cult.

What I have on the JWs leaders is in the "GTJ Brooklyn" article at the next
link. Basically, they play prophet by claiming to be the only spokesmen of a
literal 144,000 of the Bible. Like someone saying Bible salvation requires
followers to agree that Noah wore argyle, it's to play prophet, claim special
revelation, even if they deny it or don't predict anything.
    http://www.freewebs.com/glenster1/gtjbrooklynindex.htm

They mean to define the exclusiveness by a dozen or so rules and claim the
best evidence and reasoning proves the case for them. But since such common old
material, deliberated on from whatever belief or non-belief angles for centur-
ies, doesn't that, the JWs leaders cook up their case.

The detective work is easy once you have that focus. If they intend to prove
their exclusiveness and quote from a book, look for the context of the quote in
that book. If they say something is what others say, see what the most reason-
able thing is others say. If historical context makes a difference, look it up
yourself because if it's bad for their case they're not going to tell you.

The case should be made primarily evidentially, not just editorially. But I
could have used a newspaper staff for all the evidence I saw once I got that
    focus on them.

I've also caught them telling falsehoods about they're own bad track record.
For example, a 1968 quote on p.6 says that they didn't say Armageddon was coming
soon during WWII, but there are quotes of theirs for every year of WWII claim-
ing Armageddon was due soon. In one quote, Rutherford even tells followers not
to have kids because time is short so they should spend it spreading (selling)
    his stuff.

And the recent Internet availability of early Watchtower literature (p.1a)
shows how silly it is to claim salvation is dependant on agreeing that Russell
had any miraculous revelations about 1914.

People shouldn't be too 'centric about various sincere belief or non-belief
choices and should try to get along friendly. But they should also all agree
that insincerity to affect exclusiveness and sell literature, especially if any-
one is hurt or or killed, belongs in a different category.

The JWs leaders have among the harshest disfellowshipping rules, including for
all their distinctive rules, to remove dissent, so friends and family have
broken up over it. The JWs leaders' expanded ideas about worldliness and
politics have led to followers being killed in Germany and Malawi. And the JWs
leaders' exclusive rules banning the medical use of blood and major blood pro-
ducts, instead of recommending whichever of those or alternatives give the best
chance for success, have led to deaths of followers and their children. One
issue of theirs even had kids on the cover and boasted that thousands had died
putting (what only the JWs leaders allege to be) God's word first.

Ummmmm??? ok, someone is living in Wolkenkuckkucksheim. The WTS wouldn't offer anything to someone it disfellowshipped, that's gotta be BS.

We can only hope that given time they'll see the real truth.

God's "standards" for disfellowshipping apply to a few specific situations. The Watchtower Society has added on more situations over the years.
