Wow this thread's a surprise... I don't think I even told oompa... lol.
Yes, I got a call about 2 days ago telling me that I will be graduating Summa Cum Laude, since I've maintained a 4.0 thus far (I'm missing one grade but I hope it'll be an A too...).
The good thing is that I will be able to speak at the ceremony for about 7-10 minutes... I already explained to the Director of Student Affairs that Colege helped me to wake up and leave the JW cult.... So I wonder whether I should mention this in the speech....
My JW parents (who are not shunning me haha) will be there, along with some non-JW family. I was told that I can invite whomever I want to, so if any on JWD want to come you are welcome....
My wife was raving about this at the KH on Tuesday nite, and some of the friends were surprised. It just doesn't seem to fit the mold they are used to... they think that an apostate's life goes down the drain once he leaves the JWs, and my quality of life is seriously improving since I decided to exit. Some actually seemed to be happy for me, and I think that shunning me is taking a toll on them, hehe... its so unchristian to shun a friend just because he has a different opinion.
