So he quit his job so the family can go to the Friday session???? Very responsible! Left his job at the Bank to Clean Windows part time for $10 a hour with a Pioneer Brother. Nice!
Well, I'm nauseated now. Gag inducing dramatizations at my DC

Call me naive but I have a new computer (7 months) and haven't had porn popup once. I have strong blockers on my computer. Is it really that hard to block porn. How much of an accident can it be?

Finally, he decides to turn his friend in even if it means losing the friendship.
Lesson: If you need to confide in somebody, find yourself a wordly friend.

I have no intention of going at all. I wouldn't want to miss a day of work just for some stupid a$$embly, even if getting fired wasn't an issue. It is actually more entertaining to work, and I can get the points on this forum.
By the way, I wonder if anyone has the link to get the porn that the "brother" got on his laptop before slamming it shut. That way, I can put it on the Kingdumb Hell computer in the event I ever get dragged back.

Also seen, a dramatization of a family where the father's boss fired him for taking Friday off to go to the convention. Father announces that he's lost his job so that they could "enjoy" all three days of the convention. Oldest daughter pipes up and asks if this means she can't buy a new outfit (), youngest daughter pipes up and asks if she won't be able to go out to eat with her friends (), mother worries how they're going to pay their bills since she and the girls pioneer (of course they do ). The father mentions how a brother might have a job for him and that they should all trust in Jehovah and enjoy the whole three day assembly!
How utterly nauseating and predictable........It simply boggles the mind that the Slobbering Body members (who have all their bills paid for by people like this brother who just lost his job), have the balls to tell the R&F that you're better off losing your livelihood rather than miss one stinking day of the assembly........

Blondie,
I have always wondered about this pop-up porn thing the Society constantly go on about. Porn never pops up on my PC. I'm convinced it's a myth. -

been there done that, (shudder)
And honestly, it was nice that some of the brothers let me work for them but there are MANY side points that were more discouraging than
missing a part of the assembly, they should be a little more realistic when presenting these types of scenarios.
1) work is mostly very sporadic, you only work when he has enough for him and you.
2) benefits are gone ( unless you use COBRA)and with children, that is a major area of stress and discouragement.
3) the personal / emotional side of "loosing" your job, wondering just what the hell I was thinking, and what are my kids going to do if I get sick, or hurt and cannot work at all.
4) trying twice as hard to balance the checkbook each week-month,
5) praying that at tax time, that I will be able to pay uncle Sam.
Is all this headache worth the price of missing a part of the assembly ?
Absolutely not
