I got to love the ambiguity of your thread title, given that the "intelligence" of Witnesses is often scrutinised on this forum.

Only if they carry their bullets around in their pockets, instead of in their Walther PPK - like Barney Fife of Mayberry.
That way they don't run the risk of actually killing anybody from Smersh.

The closest I've known a JW come to such groups was two JW brothers who were in the police.
What struck me odd over this was at the time I thought JWs couldn't be in the police. As in the UK they have to swear an oath to serve the Queen. But I was told they had become JWs while they were police officers. So why weren't they asked (told) to leave the police force?

As I remember this, the JWs traditionally shied away from telling witness converts that they had to quit their job as a police officer. Probably worried on liability or legal issues.
However, a "question from readers" strongly suggested that "most JWs would find carrying a weapon unjustifiable because of the possibility of bloodguilt if you shot and killed somebody".
Of course, isn't it true that English Police do not carry guns in normal service?

Yes they will get into bed with anyone who can further their aim to become more powerful and vice versus ,but they will keep it a top secret.
Wouldn't you like to see the JW files marked top secret, most top secret, and the one marked "boy is this explosive"
The things that go on behind the scenes would make your hair stand on end.

When responding to a police officer's question about jws on the silentlambs website, I said that jws aren't allowed to be police officers. But someone else posted and corrected me by saying that a jw who carries a gun as part of his job will not be disciplined for it but will not be made a ms or elder. When I lived in the D.C. area, I knew a brother who worked for the FBI. He was an agent but took a desk job to avoid carrying a gun, so he could be made a ms.

My brother gave up a career as a cop due to this issue. It was stupid as he would have soon made detective and probably would never have had to fire his gun, but he thought he needed to do this. I don't think a career in intelligence would be totally out of the question, though, as my hubbie is in that field and does't carry a gun (he's an analyst).
