Yeah, right now I am preparing for the survival of Hurricane season here in South Florida. Something tells me it's going to be a year to remember. (I sure hope not)

Adult children in one family recall how their father applied suggestions received from Jehovah's organization.
Yep! Another "faceless" ... "nameless" ... non-existent ... made-up JW family, again.

Two days before Hurricane Ivan, the Dubz began streaming out of the city, "advised" to do so by the book-study leaders. Some would up as far as Gainesville, Altanta or even further because all of the cheap hotels were booked.
While they were leaving, I was busy bolting up 1/2 inch plywood over corregated metal shutters over every window and door of my home. I called Culligan and had then lay in a huge store of water, threw extra chlorine in the pool, put all the outside furniture in storage and fortified the garage doors. Lost some plants and the back fence in the 150 MPH gusts.
Net result is that when the Dubz were finally allowed to return 4-5 days after the storm they found their houses trashed. Glass broken (because they did not cover it), roofs blown off (because the wind got in) and everything they owned wet. Two brothers *DIED* in the unimaginable traffic that resulted when all of the return roads were closed.
The curious part is how they praised the Watchtower when we put new roofs on their houses after the disaster; roofs that in most cases would not have been needed if they had just taken basis precautions.
Yeah so go right ahead and follow their advice -
"Adult children in one family recall how their father applied suggestions received from Jehovah's organization. For example, he conducted a family study every week and took the family in the ministry every weekend as recommended. He endeavored to have one of his children accompany him in the ministry each week. His steadfastness in doing "just so" made a deep impression on his children, and all six of them grew up to be loyal servants of Jehovah."
The thing they don't tell you is that when he got home, he took one of his kids and molested them that night and threateded to harm them if they told. He knew he could count of Jehovah's organization to handle the matter internally rather than having him locked up in prison like any other common criminal. Another who used this advice for his family ended up penniless and without any retirement. His kids couldn't help him because they were all too busy trying to make it on their wages as a janitor and a window washer.
