In the watchtower's version of the bible it says this at Matt 7:12:

12 “All things, therefore, that YOU want men to do to YOU , YOU also must likewise do to them; this, in fact, is what the Law and the Prophets mean.

We all know how seriously JWs are about applying the scriptures in their lives. Therefore, based on the aforementioned scripture, I have to assume they want me to treat them the same way they treated me.

I care as much for their feelings as they did for mine.

Have you ever noticed how hateful their comments are on youtube when someone who got df'd tells their story? Truly heartless at times. Their beliefs make them deny humanity. That's why I could never have lasted. I like people too much.

I guess I really try to keep a smile and say "I'm doing absolutely fantastic" when their pitiful eyes look at me when they ask... it baffles them that your not down

and depressed because you have left the Wt. Conversations normally end there, no explanation necessary to them and

    they pursue no more.

I try to be "nice" but most of the Witnesses are simply abnormal.

OK.....Dont get the wrong idea here...im not superior by any means. But Finally-Free you quoted Mathew 7:12. Jesus said this in a positive manner and it refers to the "Golden Rule" in Levitcus 19:18. Where is says "You shall love your neighbor as yourself". So by the you presented your reply, you sound very negative, please correct me if Im wrong.

At any rate It pleases me to hear that you Love Jehovahs Witnesses as yourself.

JWs claim to adhere to this scripture, so when I see them treat myself or someone else like shit I naturally assume that they expect me to respond in kind. I'm happy to do so.

In any event, when they treat people like dirt, they have no right to expect something better in return.

Ohhh Okay, now I understand. You must be an apostate. lol. - i hate that word too.

Your absolutely right, we claim to adhere to that scripture, and Im sure there is a fraction that do, as it relates to apostates.

Jesus said to love our neighbor as ourselves, one of the two laws that everything hangs on. Its unfortunate that the GB has made that decision to treat people who have not necessarly left the faith, but have left some of the banquet food at the restaurant and not in their bellys.

I completely hear you, I hate the fact that some of my friendships in the congregation are completely dependant on me still being in the org. Doesent seem right, and it shouldnt be like that.

I dont personally subscribe to the Disfellowshiping teaching, I subscribe mostly to what the Bible says on how we should treat our neighbor. Thanks.

I can be brutally honest, but I don't like hurting anyone's feelings either. The truth hurts, but I try to be tactful. So, yes, I do care if I hurt a witness's feelings.

The only time I have occasion to deal with JW's anymore, is when they come to my door. My motto since leaving has been that I have no more right to try to change their minds than they do to try to change mine. If they will not let me politely say "I'm not interested" and close the door, then I figure they are entitled to my true feelings.

Yep, that's me. The bird head is just a front. I really have 2 heads connected with a single large eye and numerous tentacles coming out of my 6 ears. (at least my ex probably thinks so...)

Seriously I don't go out of my way to hurt their feelings. I try to be civil and won't zing them unless they say something unkind first. I'm just no longer silent as I used to be. The JWs that came to my mom's funeral knew I had DA'd yet were still nice to me. We actually spent a lot of time chatting there.
