Roses or daffodils? Roses, but you left out some much more interesting choices.
Wine or brandy? Wine.
Half 'n half or real cream? Half n' half, although if we are talking coffe, I prefer skim milk.
Margarine or butter? Butter.

brandy - to pour on fruit cake.
half and half for coffee, real cream for dessert. Butter, always butter rather than margarine.

My choices depend on the occasion and the species of flower. Who can resist a red rose? However, those first yellow daffodil petals poking through in the first of spring are always charming. In winter, I'd say daffodil. In late spring, rose.
No question I like brandy better than wine, especially peach brandy or apple brandy.
I don't drink coffee, but when eating corn flakes or Cheerios I've always been a big fan of real cream on top.
Retailers should not be allowed to sell margarine as a "food" product.
