I have some Canadian relatives.......it has it's upsides and downsides.
Medical developement (drugs, techniques, devices, etc) are invigorated in a capitalist environment while actual care can thrive in a socialist one....

Anyone know the differences in the public system in Canada vs. Germany? Just curious. I have heard really good things about health care in Germany and not so good in Canada. In both countries all are covered though.
The US healthcare system is very much broken, but exactly how to fix it is a difficult problem.

According to the Romanow report, the largest most comprehensive study ever done on the Canadian healthcare system, while there are many problems in the system, and this is no secret to anyone, the majority of Canadians still believe they system is better than the US system and want to see the current system overhauled, creative solutions to the existing problems, rather than a scrapping of it entirely and moving to a US model.

i think this is a show made by americans, quite possibly government funded, or maybe funded by the private sector... yes our system is flawed but at least we ALL have access to healthcare... homeless, poor, hungry, access is there....
in the states the same cannot be said...

I do not see how this is an indictment of the Canadian Healthcare system. No Facts, no comparison. Better watching the Micheal Moore Film on the American Heathcare system

It would be foolish to convert the American health care system to be like the Canadian one without running a pilot program in a few different states to see how it scales and adapts to the American demographics. Take a decade to collect data and fine tune it and more states can adopt it if it proves to be superior.
