Rev 9:3 I see where your going with this and the helicopter idea....

It is a Greek word meaning destroyer. It's a demon, maybe even another name for Satan who has various names in Revelation and eleswhere in the Bible: dragon, devil serpent, belzebub, lord of this world, etc. The point is the cause of all the war and destruction taking place has demonic influences, thus the symbolism of Apollyon (destroyer). Evidently he's causing a lot of the warfare in the trumpets.

As far as him being king of the locusts, I believe the Locusts mentioned in the 5th trumpet are attack helicopters. Rev. 9:3 states, "and there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power."

The power of a scorpion is to poison. During the Russian occupation of Afghanistan the Russians used helicopters to deploy nerve gas on the rebels. So, if this is describing modern warfare it would most likely be a nerve agent, or a blistering substance like mustard gas.

Jesus Christ foretold the destruction of Jerusalem and the abomination that causes desolation standing in the Holy Place was what? The Roman Army correct. That is not self-interpretation of the bible but an event proven to be "True". I read this persons blog on the angel of the abyss. The bible describes mens wars and the weapons that they use so this persons has the correct thought process. Apollo, Cherub is an angel, abyss is a deep hole.

No person has ever seen a real dragon as they do not exist. Did the word dragon originate in the bible?

It is not possible to change my thinking around........evil backwards is live. If you choose evil you do not live. What does "demon" mean? Does it mean "nomed" or "Deity Summons" as in The Diety "Summons" them to His Court of Law?

I am getting sleepy. It is 12:21 here how about where you reside? In the United States we read from left to right however the bible in Hebrew is read from right to left. Does it mean they are "Righteous" and we are not? Do we fall as those on Jesus Christs left hand?

So many "Hidden" meanings for my eyes only, then to those that care to listen Just this past month I recieved a blow to my head by an evil man, and my right heal has an injury that causes pain when I run.......so many signs, oh so many.

Same time zone...

Well its been interesting to say the least...but I still say the guy on the blog is interpreting Rev to his idea of how it fits to world events

not unlike jw's to 1914 and the last days etc etc..... The bible can be pretty much be twisted to how ever you deem it, to fit the scheme of things.
