My Lady hates a bath. So maybe once a month or so is all she gets.
Judging by how she smelled last nite after getting wet in the rain, I may have to rethink the schedule.

For years I bathed my dog once a week (in the bathtub). Now it's maybe once a month. He's an inside dog an very old so he goes outside, does his business and comes right back.
changeling :)
Nice looking dog!....my dogs get a bath about every month or two, I was told it was not good for the coat to have one too often.
My dog is peculiar in that he has no "doggy" smell whatsoever so he only needs a bath if he's rolled in something, which happened to be last night when my brother and I went fishing and he discovered something incredibly foul to anoint himself with.
Including yesterday I've bathed him maybe twice in the last three years, not counting the times he goes swimming in the creek when we go up north.
There's an automatic pet-washing machine called "Pet Spa" that looks like it's probably OK for dogs. The manufacturers are dumb enough to think it's also OK for cats.
Here's a video.

This video gets yanked regularly due to copyright problems from using the Disney song "Under the Sea" in the background.
I love cats and DON'T recommend this machine for cat bathing.
But I can't say it didn't give me a chuckle the first time I saw it.
