Why you do not take delight in insulting everybody that you interact with online is for you to explain, not for me to guess. What is clear is that you do take delight in insulting a high number of those that you do interact with online and that is what has prompted my comments.
You are not sure that you can simplify it any further, when all you have done is complicated a simple matter.
If you think a nursery rhyme would help then fill your boots.
By the way, the term "Neocon" is just a propaganda-style buzzword that the liberal left uses to insult those who don't march in lock-step with their political views.
Not a completely accurate view. Neo-conservatives have a vocal, self-proclaimed identity, with easily identifiable hallmarks.
It is true that "Neocon", like any other word, can be used perjoratively, but there is indeed a philosophy behind the word.

Liberal View: The policy of the United States should be to take action when it is within our power to help people who cannot help themselves. (for others)
Conservative View: The policy of the United States should be to take action when it is within our interests to do something. (for us)
Neoconservative View: It is directly our interests to help others. America benefits from a free world, not encumbered by problems. Global success is our success. etc. (ex. A free Iraq is good for America and for the Iraqis, Saddams Iraq is bad for the Iraqis, it is also bad for America, their interests and our interests are not different.)
Choosing to invade Nazi occupied Europe when we were never attacked or in imminent threat of attack from them, and when the Nazis wanted alliance with us, was a NeoConservative theory.
Our interests were a free and democratic Europe. So we did it. I'm astonished nobody sees any parallel here with Iraq. A European claiming the United States is bad for invading Iraq is simultaneously rejecting the entire concept of America entering WWII. If you don't like American action in WWII, more power to you, I'm not impressed with the results either. The theory that you'll gain allies by defending freedom is proving to be a very Polly-Anna mindset. You need to account for foreign people being kinda slimy in their political attitudes.

Trevor,
Why you do not take delight in insulting everybody that you interact with online is for you to explain
Geeeez!
The whole point is that I HAVE explained, and not once but THREE times, but for some strange reason you have chosen to ignore what I have written? Why is that?
Remember, it was yourself that raised this issue, not me. Your attempts at now trying to slide from facing its implications are intellectually dishonest. My repeated explanation goes to the very root of your posts. Read them again! Take responsibility for your words Trevor.
I have noted on another thread to John Doe that the standard of poster these days is so much lower than it used to be when issues outside of, 'what is your favorite breakfast cereal' are being discussed. I have to say that your response to my posts are a perfect example of what I am talking about.

Wow. Judge much?
Hillary
You are an obviously bright man but handicapped by an egocentric need to triumph over everyone you debate with. Hidden in the insulting phrases that you construct to trounce your victims, are clues as to what drives you to such lengths.
I seldom respond to your threads or comments because your response is so predictable. It is a shame because you are among one of the most interesting posters on the forum.
You probably frighten away many of the people who would otherwise talk with you. I could spend all day playing word games with you but I have commented and you must make what you will of my observations, as will those who bother to read them.
Simon (the neo-fascist Canadian- First Reich hypocrite) Said:
Awe, stop trying to win me over with your smooth talking compliments ... it wont work.
Yep, I agree Simon. Americans should keep their political perspectives off of JWD. Has no place here....... wow.
So, I'm not allowed to speak my views. Got it. "Silence the infidels"
If you hate me for wanting to support freedom in Iraq, be assured I have no illusions about whether you are a friend or not. (my decision, not yours). When your lease to have your little country on our continent comes up for renewal, don't be surprised if we seek multiple bids.
By little country do you mean the one that is bigger than yours with lots more natural resources? Oh, and is well liked around the world? As Joe said ... "I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack" ... can you? (or more to the point, what are the relative chances of you surviving a trip round the world with it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqUde5i4KbI
I have, currently do, and will continue to support the defense of human liberty, I have not asked your permission, nor will I.
Excuse me? You just told me I couldn't say anything and now you are defending human liberty? You are a truly a legend in your own lunchtime.
Problem: The majority of those who found fault with Simon's words were not "neocon types," were they?
No, they were die hard republican types.
To me it's like the difference between raisins, currents and sultanas ... I don't like any of them.
