I agree with that but not in the same positive way my family does. They saw it as a good thing..."they care so much for us...blah blah blah..." I saw it as a reactionary change to the fact that the elders are burned out and dropping out, they can't get new elders and the "friends" are responding to the workload by dropping meeting attendance. So, if you can't beat em, join em. So to look like the caring, loving shepards they're not, they drop a meeting and pat themselves on the back and get all the brainwashed dupes to follow along.

yeah, they actually did say it. I think it is a pride issue. They would rather argue that they must change because of an economic reason as opposed to admitting that the current situation within the faith demands a cut back in activity.

Gas indeed. You all should see my wife's uncle 3-D. I call him that because he is a triple threat. A drunken depraved degenerate. He has a brand new pickup truck and a couple of economy cars from the 1980s that he drives around in.
