I'm a sci fi nerd so I gotta say The Lord of the Rings Triology

I really liked them too, but as a Tolkien junkie I have to admit I read through the books (including the Silmarillion) so many times that the movies never had a chance to steal my soul. He got Aragorn right, got gollumn. Frodo was good. I'm not being fair I know. I can watch the movies a few times, but the books I can read over and over.

Withnail and I, Harvey (with Jimmy Stewart), The Goonies, Casablanca, Amelie, Little Miss Sunshine, Holes, Harold and Maude, Sin City, Orphee (directed by jean coctaeu) and any thing directed by Peter Greenaway - and early David Lynch

aliens, fight club, heat, the usual suspects, lord of the rings trilogy, and last but certainly not least..... blazing saddles. "mongo like candy", "why do i always get a warped one?", "pardon me while i whip this out", "my names jim, but most people call me.....jim." the funniest movie ever.

I am in with the others who said the Princess Bride. Never get tired of watching that. When it came out in 87, I was one of the first people in line to see it (even though I had no idea what it was about). They handed out the "45 vinyl" of the Mark Knofler (spelling?) song to the first 50 people in line. LOL I still have it!!

I forgot Mark Knofler did that song. I was funned for saying Princess Bride was one of my fav's years ago here. I'm vindicated! Naa..naa!

That would bring a nice price on Craigs list (me, I sell nothing. I prefer dust to dust).

Never thought about that. Thanks for the idea. It is just sitting in the garage because I no longer have anything to play it on.
