Time for Formal Introductions

Hello to everyone here at JWD.
I've been lurking about and tossing out a few
comments since I joined up a few weeks ago.

My story is not so very much different than so many
I have read here.

Born-In
Dunked at 14
Did all the duties all the time
Turned down going to college (had a scholarship)
Married young to a JW even younger
Divorced 18 months later
Bad experience with Elders.
Remarried to "Worldly" one
Another (and final) bad experience with Elders.
Swore "Never Again"
Walked and Faded at 25
Officially Disassociated
Parents still alive and firmly IN
Siblings alive and firmly IN
Relationship with the above - STRAINED
Still married (Though I sometimes wonder how)
Have a son - Raised. Out on his own. Very successful. NOT a JW (Yea)
Thought it was all useless and I was a dead man walking
Did some bad stuff - Got over it.
Quit believing in anything spiritual.
Favored the "Objectivist" point of view. Served me well in business.
Semi-retired at 48
Began to exit my "zombie" state only a few short months ago
Started doing Internet research on JW's and spiritual matters
Ordered and read "Crisis of Conscience", Search for Christian Freedom",
and "Gentile Times".
Studied cults and mind control and the effects.
Found this place - Impressed with the diversity
Learning about Christianity for the first time in my life - Interesting

I'm now heading for 53 years and looking forward to the future
