1: 2 Tim3:1-5 is taken out of context by the WTS... people have always been like this. If you look at the contect this is not part of an "end-times" prophecy. Even in Gilead this was explained, that these verses had their application in the 1st century, and are not unique to our day. MYTH DEBUNKED

"I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words. When I was a boy, we were taught to be discrete and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wise and impatient of restraint." - Greek poet Hesiod, ca. 700 BCE.

"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they allow disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children now are tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers." - Often attributed to Socrates (via Plato), but this is in dispute. Nevertheless; an old quote.

"The democratic youth . . . lives along day by day, gratifying the desire that occurs to him, at one time drinking and listening to the flute, at another downing water and reducing, now practicing gymnastic, and again idling and neglecting everything; and sometimes spending his time as though he were occupied in philosophy." - Plato, The Republic, ca. 360 BCE.

"What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done; and there is nothing new under the sun." - Often attributed to Solomon, ca. 250 BCE (or ca. 1000 BCE, depending).

Nothing new - well - except for the share number of people making more noise of course, and instant world wide reporting of events.
