I think politicians rather than being respected and revered should be criticised and held accountable, rediculed when necessary, shot when appropriate.
All this reverential treatment makes them more like a roman emperor which is *not* the best situation for good governance IMO.
Make all the fun of Blair and Brown that you want ... it is the least they deserve and in my opinion is not connected with the standing of the country or it's people in any way shape or form.
