You know, they wanted to say something, so they mentioned their own ages. Probably as close to an acknowledgment of your birthday that you could get. Pathetic, I agree!
Maybe, to make them as uncomfortable on their birthday as they made you unhappy on yours, you could do the card, cake and a small gift on theirs-reminding them that while they are not allowed to acknowledge your birthday, you have no such constraints on THEIRS. They expect everyone to respect their beliefs and practices while dissing everyone else's!
Make sure you get the cake in your favorite flavor-cause you will be eating it all yourself:)
