That's hilarious if he actually mentioned this website by name during his 'talk'.- I am having a very difficult time believing he would plug another website. His ass would get handed to him after the talk if he did.
My wife would buy into the argument of bad information on the internet. The one time she admitted to being on this site she read something that was depicted as a JW belief and I can attest it was completely wrong. I t did however stimulate conversation that had very negative overtones about JW's/
You would have to admit though that there is some definite BS on the JWS from who knows , probably from another religious group or an ex-JW
who got kicked out or DF. out for some personal vendetta, I've viewed some my self and wondered where the hell did they dig this up....oh well.

Many so-called historians discredit 1914 as a pivotal date because they give a different date for the fall of Jerusalem . Who are we going to believe ? Those who constantly change opinions and ideas....
If the speaker is referring to the year 587 BCE, I am not aware that it has been "constantly" changed over the years!

i was going to call BS or spoof ..but someone beat me to it.... at first, I thought maybe that the speaker saying "jehovahswitness.com" was like calling all facial tissues "Kleenex"...without him realizing there really is a site (this one) called that...
then as I kept reading, then looked at the whole thing again in context...... it is a very clever spoof indeed... all of the things that we talk about here being mentioned from the platform? I dont think so. Even the most renegade GB or trusted one or whatever the hell they call their companions...are not going to focus everyone's attention on those things...that is not the way the society does things...they are probably aware of all of those things...
but publicly....publicly.... they will never admit to even knowing such things...that means they themselves are going to that evil internet doing research...bad example for them to be setting...

HIGHLANDER- Yeah , if it really was said- it would be hilarious that this website is converting members constantly !
OUTLAW- It is funny how paranoid witnesses get about anything to do with the " world " ! Worldly clothes, worldy associates, worldly this, worldly that ! I believe they wouldn't take a dump in public if they felt it would spiritually contaminate them !
FREQUENT FADER MILES- The society usually shoots off the hip verbally without references because they know the robotic " mind drained" publishers sitting there listening won't challenge anything said on the platform ! So the speaker could say anything and the rank and file witness will believe it !
TREADNH20- That is a good point you make about " any negative attention " that can be brought to the witnesses - is good attention . That's how I view this information sent to me by this newbie . Even if the speaker didn't " plug " another website - the point is that the gist of the talk will help some people new on this site to see the " mind control " of the witnesses.
HOMEROVAH- You never know where they dig some of this stuff up from ! It's crazy ! I think holy spirit and Jesus- Jehovah are backing up JWD though !
CHANGELING- Who knows - Maybe this speaker was a secret agent man ! Highly doubt it though - Probably just another " mind controlled " twit.
AWAKENED at GILEAD- It probably is a spoof. Or maybe the newbie embellished some of the information with his own thoughts- who knows ? The society may never blatantly " advertise " JWD - however in the 44 years I was in the witnesses I saw numerous times, not often , but occasionally talks given at assemblies warning the brothers to avoid certain companies by name involving pyramid schemes or shady business practices. Now whether local brothers gave their own twist in those talks to name the names- I don't know. But weird things have happened in the witness organization. It wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility for some Watchtower representative in a talk to put his own twist on information ; trying to be a " big wheel " spurting out from his mouth , and name dropping companies to avoid. I admit it's rare to see that - but I saw it awhile back !
VM 44- I do think the speaker was confused ! Isn't R. Clark a Bethel representative ? I don't know if he is on the GB or not . Maybe someone else here can clarify that for us ! I've been out 5 years now - I don't know who is who
