I hated the whole submission thing. I remember a few times when a brother was incorrect and a sister brought it to his attention, the brother would bring out the "are u correcting a brother" argument.

I remember one elders wife chiding sisters for not leaving their jobs to stay home and be a full time Mom. She used to rant about how Jehovah never meant women to work. They're supposed to stay at home with their children.

Personally I would hate a "submissive wife". I wish more were allowed to be used in the KH.

My grandmother once brought it to the attention of the WT conductor that he frequently went over time. Not just by a few minutes, but a good 15-20 minutes. Of course she was counselled for this, and it even prompted a special needs part at the service meeting about submission.

I'm an uppity woman!!!! Yes I am!!! And proud of it!!!!!

I remember some elder asking me why a single sister would want to buy house. I retorted "why would I want to marry to have one!?". This is the same elder whose wife dumped him. I use to hide behind my dad cause he just reeked of that "I must marry cause I'm burning" thing. EUWWWW!

Not only did I buy my house, I bought another one. I do maintenance on my own lawn mower(can you imagine?) I work in a male dominated field!!! I ride a motorcycle!!

No offense to the guys. I'm not a man hater...I can be a girly girl........I just couldn't stand the elders sexist attitudes on what a woman was supposed to do!!!!!!!!

Must be why none of them(except for the reeking one) wanted to marry me! Too independent!!!!
