really no matter what the show or movie was, once the elders found out people enjoyed it, they would find something wrong with it and then either have a local needs to meet with people and tell them not to watch it. I remember the little mermaid was pretty much banned because "it taught rebellion" since ariel disobeyed he father and went up to the surface. i have said it before, its not about the content of entertainment, its about control.
What was your favorite cartoon that you was allowed to watch growin up JW ?

I remember when Beauty and the Beast first came out, a bunch of people in the cong. didn't allow their children to watch it because it promoted beastiality.

I liked the Flintstones too. I don't know what my favorite series was, but this episode of Droopy was the funniest cartoon I've ever seen. I was a young mother when I first saw this; I literally slid off my couch into the floor laughing so hard.
The outlaws are trying not to make any noise and wake up the sheriff and Droopy keeps hurting them - oh, the things they have to do to keep quiet!
