Never thought I would be, but now I've watched 3 versions of Sense and Sensibility, 2 versions of Pride and Prejudice, 2 of Persuasion, and 2 of Emma. Also saw one of Mansfield Park, but I didn't like it that much. There's only one left that I haven't seen--Northanger Abbey.
Anybody here a Jane Austen fan?

Yep, Persuasion is my fav. I even have it on my iPod and my iPhone. I also have a book that is supposed to be a Jane Austen mystery taken from her actually diaries. It was so good.

Huge fan!!!!
When I was much younger, I read her books over and over - never grew bored. Still to this day, I could reopen the stories of fictional characters whom I've loved as well as idolized, reading their spider web love lives and how they over came broken hearts, getting the fairytale ending. Love Jane's novels.
I love reading books, as I could read for hours and hours.

Ooo! Ooo! Me! Me!
It is a truth universally acknowledged that I belong to JASNA. That is, I belong whenever I remember to send in my dues.
My favorites are Persuasion, Emma, and P&P. I try to read all of the novels at least once a year, usually in the winter. Some of the film adaptations are great and some aren't. I strongly recommend reading the books.

I am, and I'm a guy (and no, I'm not gay - not that there's anything wrong with that). I got hooked by the Colin Firth version of P&P. which is superb. I do really like the newer version too even though there is so much left out - can't take my eyes off Keira Knightly. I also really like Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility. I've read most of what JA has written.

I almost got tossed out of a 400 level English lit class for describing her books as boring junk about stupid self absorbed people who spent all their time talking about how awful it was to be better than everybody else. I was told that that was the point of her books. My response was OK, I read fifty pages and I got it. Let's read something else.

I have seen lots of the film adaptations and after a while I decided to read some of the books so as not to be too much of a philistine - I am now about halfway through Northhanger Abbey.
