I got up at six am, and immediately had baby duty. Apollo, my seven month nephew. I usually ride the bike to the beach in the early morning.
This morning stroller, diapers, bottles, binky, baby and I head off for the mile walk to the ocean.
I was going to eat breakfast at the Beach Diner, but decided to go to McDonald's instead. I ordered a big breakfast and a large ice tea.
The table tops are surf boards, tiled floor that looks like ocean water. Elvis is there, with guitar. Jukebox playing Bob Marley. How cool is that at 7am?
We take the rest of the walk down to the beach. The walk turns to bricks and Apollo loves going over all the bumps, giggling all the way.
I was not going to go to the water, pushing a stroller over soft sand with a twenty pound bouncing baby boy in it seemed impossible. But we went anyway.
I put Apollo's feet in the ocean, He played with the gulls. There was a huge cache of seashells that I picked through. I got alot of pink shells today.
There were joggers and that stopped to oh and ah over the baby. Walkers, and bikers. Fisherman on the shore, fishing boats along the shore.
It was awesome and the baby loved every minute of it.
I was going to catch the bus back to the house, but walked instead. The baby is asleep. All is good.
And it's not even ten am.
Have a great day!
