Wow. I don't think Pavarotti even could hold a candle to him. His voice smooth and beautiful. Not forced: he makes it sound effortless.
Could someone post the link for this?

Flying High: If I post the link, it automatically embeds the video! Just got to YouTube and search for "Paul Potts". Also, don't miss the link that I posted on the bottom of the first page of this thread, it is his unofficial tribute site, with links to two more performances.
Love,
Baba.
edited to say, OH, wait! I can post the link and not make it active! Copy and paste this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avN6O40AXms
He has an amazing voice to be sure, but Pavaratti definitely has him beat on control up high.
John Doe... you are right, he did falter at the high notes in the last. That was his first audition, however, and you will see he is just getting better. Here is the whole rendition he performed for the final performance of "Britain's Got Talent":

I'd like to hear him do "Rule Britannia."
I love Pavarotti, don't know how to spell his name, but love him all the same. But this man, Potts, there is a natural magic to him that is not camp like many famed opera singer. Very smooth and natural. I like that.
well, he's no Pavarotti, but Paul Potts is very good. I have his CD, very nice except for one strange song. I think part of the charm is the way his simplicity and humility come through - no drama, he just opens his mouth and lets fly with that remarkable voice.
You all are so behind the times!! You guys missed out on a great Christmas present.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/27/145955/1.ashx Poster freyd posted the Topic, the day he was on the Oprah show. I fell in love. This is my favorite video of all time on You Tube.
BabaYaga, Thanks for posting. I can watch it over and over, and I still get misty eyed. Aren't you glad you found it? And it makes people happy, that he got discovered, and brings a little culture to our lives. I never knew I liked opera!!
