How many youths left the WTS in the mid to late 90's?

Ahh! The 90'S. Grunge music was at it's height, rebellion was at the forefront. All of my friends left the Kingdom Hall like a wave of rebellion. None of it was planned or discussed. It just happened. I was 16, and I can remember our groups being called Cliques while we were there.

Are there any fellow rebels on this forum? The 90's were a hard time for the WTS from what I've heard. They lost a lot of people. I wonder how much the "Grunge" music scene played in that.

I know that the music and the culture played a huge part in my ideology at the time. It represented all of the angst and rebellion I felt. I still feel it.

My JW aunt told me some time ago that, "Jehovah lost a lot of people back then." She was talking about my Generation.

Did my Generation take a toll on the WTS?

I'm not of "the" generation you describe.

I did try to sort out my religious interests during that period of time.

My overwhelming notion was, "Why are you kids playing this game".

For a short period of time I was in the "Ruling Elite", but I knew the "kids" were not in the same place as we 70ish recruits.

So much for Jah's organization? moving towards perfection.

It's amazing that anyone can still believe this bat guana.

The 70's were not the 90's. That is part of my point.

    Yeah, I'm glad that I got it! I did didn't I?

The whole thing was sad, for anyone anytime.

The 70's thing was an embarrasement for anyone sucked into that nonsense.

Honestly, we really believed the big A was about to happen.

    Geeze talk about being gullible.
