ken, sounds wonderful!

i'm lucky in that i don't pay for heat where i live. my poor landlord gets stuck with that bill! haha. but last year i paid for heat....in january my heating bill was over $600. ouch!!!

but i do love winter and snow. just hate the -zero f weather (and windchill) minnesota is known for.

yeah!!!! the snow is sticking....it's been snowing all day and finally it's sticking to the ground and buildings. winter is here!

julie, i'm guessing you will be getting hit with this soon. it's supposed to last into tomorrow. YAY!

if i was a kid, i'd have my snowsuit on and i'd be outside whooping it up with my brothers. this is perfect snow for snowball fights and building snow forts.

I'm beginning to wonder if winter is ever going to get here in NC. Tomorrow it's going to be 76, I believe it was the same today. Right now at 7pm it is still 66. I wore shorts today. Had the AC on for a while too. But hey, I'm not complaining. I love it! I hate the cold.

Thanks Harmony,

I got home ok and it only took an extra 15 minutes. Unfortunately, we lost power just after we finished dinner. I guess this heavy wet snow has taken a power line down locally. So we don't have any heat at the moment 'cause we need electricity to run the gas furnace. The house isn't cold and the temp has only dropped 1 degree so far. If the power comes back on overnight we'll be OK. Just in case you are wondering...I'm on a battery powered laptop...I have about an hour on line.
