BWA HA HA as usual, race plays a role in everything. (If you didn't know my husband is black, very dark) You wouldn't believe the number of people (black, white and other) saying things like:

"OH, he's so LIGHT!"
"Surely he will darken up!"
"How can a black man have a white son?"

I am now sick of the comments and am responding with a few smartass comments of my own. Such as:

"Well, all of (hubby's) brothers and sisters are white. He got the recessive gene."

"My body rejected the melatonin gene, resulting in a baby with the same skin tone as my daughter's."

I am gladly welcoming any other smart ass comments I *KNOW* you guys can come up with. Thanks in advance.

Julius Is adorable! He looks just perfect Lisa Thanks so much for giving us some pics. I can't wait to hear the birth story! I hope you are getting some much needed rest, and taking care of yourself. Fill us in when you get a chance!

ok, I went back and looked - saw the weight - but is the marvelously cute baby pictured above (newborn) a BOY or GIRL?

There was a time when we dressed kids in pink or blue so that we didn't have to answer that question a kazillion times.........but it was politically correct waaaaaaaaay back then.

I wouldn't take a million dollars for the children I have. And I wouldn't give a plug nickel for another kid. Any mother - at one time or another
