Stevie kicks the Beatles' a$$es. God this is good. The best Beatles cover there is. Sorry, Wha, no cowbell.

Thanks for that blast from the past, FHN...I remember that song, but I forgot who did it, until now....

You mean the Chambers Brothers? Aren't they awesome? And you're welcome. The music, especially black music was so good then. I wish I had a time machine.

wha happened?
These guys are noteworthy. A mix of black and white musicians, they were blending funk and rock in ways that current musicians can only imitate. You can hear where some of the current funk/rock artists were influenced.

Mothers Finest was a kick ass black rock group from the late 70's. Also the Bus Boys were great as well.

Octarine Prince
Don't forget Bad Brains, arguably the leading progenitors of hardcore, if not the inventors.
And please don't forget the Isley Brothers, especially Ernie Isley, who had Jimi Hendrix staying at the crib, and he took in some lessons.
And do NOT forget Parliament-Funkadelic, particularly the Funkadelic project with Eddie Hazel (RIP), who kept it real on the fuzzed out guitar. "Maggot Brain," etc.
And then there are the groups the Octarine Prince played in during the 80s who never made it past local talent shows. -
