I did the same a few months ago. It's so refreshing to see "real" books on our bookshelves instead of WT gobbledigook.
I will confess to keeping a box of WT books in my attic, just in case I need them to prove a point someday.

It's funny you say that.....demons! HA! BUT.....in the past years as I've allowed myself to have a more open mind, I've had some strange things happen. I'm certainly NOT attributing it to demons. But it just makes me wonder........that there may be things "out there". But that's a whole other post!
OH! And after they were in the dumpster, a load of dirty kitty litter was dropped in there too! GRIN
