I am constantly amused at the way the "human experience" defines theology....
Humans are born from parents... Therefore theists believe that "gods" must be their "parents"....
Humans are "born" from previous generations of human life... Therefore, theists believe this must be the universal norm...
Such mentality is incredibly egocentric. This egocentricity is obvious to all, except the unfortunate believers.
Our ancestors were limited by their cultures and technologies, therefore unable to see beyond such "human" frames of reference.
To claim that throughout the universe, "life comes from life", based on our limited time frame and confirmed only by what we've seen in recent times, is again incredibly limiting and egocentric.
To claim that ancient legends must always be "true", instead of embracing the amazing world of discovery open to us nowadays, is tantamount to burying ourselves in our ancestors' ignorance, instead of bravely stepping forward into our future heritage.
In other words, life CAN arise from non-life, once one has "thought beyond" the limitations of human mythology.
