Man, I've made a career of this song...I used to pull it out (no pun intended) when all else was failing... most ladies had never heard of it.

Great song. Who are you dating that most have not heard this before??
I thought it was one of his more popular songs? Unless you are dating very young women.
Maybe I'm just getting old. (Please say that's not it.)

don mclean sang it slower
and better.
dawg do you mean when you say you pull it out...that you have that video on your phone..or on the juke box...or that you sing it to them..and does that mean in the street or in the house..do you carry a guitar with you at all times.
and when you say all else failing..do you mean failing to get their attention, get a date, or get them into bed.
in all the relationships i have had , singing to the girl has always always been something they have loved and even now they will request certain songs or just that i sing to them.
but i don't think it was a case of all else was failing if you understand what i'm trying to say.

I grew up on this type of music, my collection dates back to the 30's. I love all types of music..... I can go from Vivaldi to Elvis to Lamb of God....lol.
Want a girl to melt in your arms? That era of music? Try Sam Cooke.
