The position of "Special Assistant" - one step below Ministerial Servant

A couple of years ago, my book study overseer told me he was considering me for the position of "Special Assistant" which is a grade below Ministerial Servant. My duties would have involved conducting the book study.

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned before but wanted to know if anyone knew anything about this.

I don't know what he had in mind for you (hmmmm), but as far as I know, there is nothing official like that.

That book study conductor was just pandering to your willingness to help out where you felt needed. Kind of like how a parent says to their kid: "Hey Johnny, why don't you go get me the screwdriver. Atta boy! You can be pop's 'special helper'!"

Maybe I don't pay as much attention as I should when I go to the KH, but I have never heard of a "Special Assistant."

I think "Special Assistant" falls into the same category as "Double Secret Probation."

Don't take any candy from this elder.

Joking, but not joking. Someone who would say something like this can't be trusted. Finish fading quickly.

Thanks for comments y'all...perhaps I was wrong, but I'm sure I heard something about this position being given to a brother who could not meet the standards for ministerial servant.

This book study overseer actually said to me that this was a "new provision" from Jehovah's organization - would have been around 2003/2004 at the time.

    Special Assistant? click . . . click . . . click . . . click . . . Nope! Not in the Bible. What's the deal with that?

How SPECIAL! I have remember that we used non-ministerial servants as conductors when we were without anyone else to do so. No title given though. Soon that will be a thing of the past with the Congregation Bible Study coming to pass. Then only one or two elders will be required. Oh how I do not miss those meetings. Freedom is here... W.Once
