I'm bummed, the Orange County Register fell through. They said it wasn't "local news." Why make you jump through hoops for that!!!

But I'll try again with the LA Times by being the squeaky wheel.

Hey, it's local news in New York. Maybe the New Yorkers would want to know what their neighbors have been up to eh! Let's keep this going. Don't let it die!

I'm told the Free Christians emailing to the 800 religious organizations has yet to be done but to cheer the "good guys" up and show it's no bluff, here are some the email locations to which emails on this subject will be going. Blue, I have run into the same thing with the Ottawa Citizen - but I have the guy real interested in the Dateline stuff - he can hardly wait.

Try phoning the person you orginally talked to back and tell them that you were orginally told that they would put your letter in the paper - ask now if you can at least put in the shorter (100 -300 word) one.

I think we may have to wait until the Dateline stuff airs. That may interest the lamestreet press in a lot of stories on the JWs.

Hi people.
I'm thinking that now might be a good time to once again note resources that have been contacted at least once about this issue. If you have a release or statement, please feel free to make use of these resources as the squeaky wheel syndrome might do us some good. The UN responded because they were inundated with contacts from interested parties (and Hawk, of course). I can only assume we're going to have to light a fire under one of these reporters by multiple contacts by many different people.
