Lone Ranger: First, it's not "your" case, but an example of yet another person (in this case whomever wrote the article) who's using the wrong word in the phrase. Again, the phrase began as "delusions of..." and is commonly mis-quoted as "illusions of..." But, as I've mentioned before, the words mean essentially the same thing, and as such, renders this argument (albiet started by me) pointless. As an afterthought--seeing as how you probably just googled the phrase "illusions of grandeur" to prove your point--google that phrase and the other to see which one gets the most results.
