The internet only confirmed what I already knew and had read in books by ex-jws. At least I knew I wasn't alone.

I think I would have still left , it just would have been a slower fade.
I had been so incredibly unhappy the last few yrs, as a witness .I knew a big change was needed, I was just waiting for my kids to get out on their own . So mentally I already had left the religion, the internet sites and COC just confirmed it all for me . Had i not found those avenues I probably would be carrying on under a lot of guilt for leaving and fear of the future .
The guilt and fear was the main reason I started posting under troubledmind , after reading Ray Franz books the trouble in my thoughs subsided completely.
