Can anyone point me in the directions where I would stats on how many deaths have occurred at kingdom halls? I just got back from the bathroom barfing after reading this email. I wanted to respond to it with some stats.

How to stay safe in the world today

    1... Avoid riding in automobiles
    because they are responsible for
    20% of all fatal accidents.

    2. Do not stay home because
17% of all accidents occur in the home.

    3. Avoid walking on streets or sidewalks
    because 14% of all accidents
    occur to pedestrians.

    4. Avoid traveling by air, rail, or water
because 16% of all accidents involve
    these forms of transportation.

    5. Of the remaining 33%,
32% of all deaths occur in Hospitals.
    So, above all else,avoid hospitals.

BUT , ..... You will be pleased to learn that only .001% of all deaths occur at the Kingdom Hall and these are usually related to previous physical disorders.
Therefore, logic tells us that the safest place for you to be at any given point in time is at the Meeting!

    ====scroll on

    .....And....Bible study is safe too.
The percentage of deaths during Bible study is even less.

    So, for SAFETY'S sake -
    Attend Meetings
    and read your Bible
    IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Personally, I've had three car accidents in my life. Two were on the way to the Kingdom Hall. One was on the way back to Bethel.

None of my accidents were serious, just damage to my car. Jordan Johnson wasn't so fortunate. He was on his way from Patterson Bethel to Derby, CT Congregation. A woman was killed. After the criminal case, JJ served 30 days in jail and two years probation. Watch Tower Corporation paid out $1.55 million in a civil settlement to prevent the civil case from going to trial. WT Corp was liable since JJ was an "agent" travelling between WT assignments when the accident occurred.

Sure, the KH may be relatively safe, but I discourage travelling to or from the KH. Accidents, damage, death, lawsuits... just stay home.

Borrowing from the stats as presented:

Don't go out in the door to door work because 14% of all accidents involve pedestrians.

Don't conduct return visits or Bible studies because 17% of all accidents occur in the home.

Don't drive/ride to the Kingdom Hall because automobiles are responsible for 20% of all fatal accidents.

    Let's see....14% + 17% + 20%....that's 51%.

    I'm safer being an xJW!

I had a older retired friend, long time elder, went to bed reading his bible one night...

that is where they found him the next morning...died in his sleep, Bible on his chest...

    so much for that theory

Years ago, must have been early 80's... I knew of another older elder, was on a bible study..excused himself to use the restroom, died in the bathroom

so much for that theory too.

So one Sunday I was standing 3 rows behind the guest speaker during the opening song and -boom- he goes down! Brothers and sisters worked CPR and the firemen showed up but to no avail. He was gone.

After the ambulance left we went back in and just had the WT study.

I replied back to her... asking how do you get to the KH if it is unsafe to drive or walk?

I wonder where the 8,000 to 9,000 deaths that occur every year due to refusal of blood transfusions fit in. Also, how many of the poor souls who spend their time at the kh commit suicide due to suffering from sexual abuse or simply from feeling like they're not doing enough or not good enough in advancing kingdom interests? What about that poor bastard who blew humself up in a kh just a few months ago?
