There is no "president" of the GB. There's a "chairman," though.

Is It True The WT Society Just Changed President ?

To clear things up a little:
Just over a year ago the Society rearranged its corporate structure. The Governing Body members no longer serve on any corporations, at least, in theory.
Milton Henschel was president of Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, the parent corporation. Henschel is reportedly suffering massively from Alzheimer's Disease.
The new president of the Pennsylvania corporation is Don Adams; the new vice-president is Robert Wallen. As other posters stated, Max Larson is president of the other older WTS corporation -- Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of New York.
Other significant changes: a new corporation is Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, which is now the body that oversees the United States Branch. It took over many of the duties formerly done by the New York corporation. Other new corporations now oversee various non-US branches.
A fairly comprehensive list of the entire new WTS structure has been posted from time to time, on this board and the old H2O board. Perhaps someone can dig one up and post it again.

The current speculation in my area is that this change has taken place - having other sheep in positions like this - in order to free up time for the anointed brothers, allowing the anointed to focus on spiritual matters rather than legal and political.

It is a bot amusing to see how some of the people who have such strong and voiced and accurate thoughts and positions on the Jehovah's Witnesses, are in the uttermost darkness when it comes to organizational build-up, corporations, who is "President" of the GB etc., in other words they don't have a clue as to the organization, but that doesn't prevent them from talking as if they were the ones having the complete knowledge of what is "really" going on within the Society ............
