I think people who put these on their kids should be locked up.
I'm not even going to go into the sexualization thing. But I saw this on the news and a one year old was trying to walk in them. The heels collapse somewhat because they're soft, but the poor kid's foot was all contorted because of the big softish lump under it. This can't be good for them. Good baby shoes are designed for function first, aesthetics second.
It's just wrong, wrong, wrong!

I saw them on TV. I think they look ridiculous and yes, there were little ones trying to walk in them. I think babies are cute enough as babies without nonsense like this.
I bet there's a lot of money in the market for them. I have a niece that always dresses her little girls in bizarre outfits. I don't mind dress-up on occassion, but not constantly.

They are sized from birth to 6 months. I would never put them on a walker. They are just for play dress-up just for fun, not function. Whoever meant them to actually be walked in was nuts.

Hideous and ridiculous. Dress up for a 6 month old? No. Playing dress up is for older children 3+ and it's fun because you put mommy's clothes on. Baby high heels are just plain stupid.

I played dress up with my babies, just not the high heel kind. I think they would be good for Halloween instead of the same old Jack-O-Lantern baby suit.
It's normal for mommies to play dress up with their unsuspecting babies once in a while. A little indulgence in that doesn't hurt anyone.
I'd use the heels for Halloween.

You are probably going to think I'm a wacko here, but to me it seems like another form of early "sexualizing" of young girls. No?
I've been thinking this for years, ever since wedge shoes and heels came in style for girls under 13 or so. We didn't wear heels as little girls. Heels were a coming of age shoe. Make-up, higher heels, dangle earrings were something we looked forward to wearing when became teenagers with periods and breasts. I remember the summer ending when I was 12. My 13th birthday was coming that October. My mother took me shopping for school clothes. The name of the place we shopped was called The Lemon Frog and it was part of Sears and for betweens and young teens. It was a big deal to me to shop there. A right of growing up so to speak. By then I wore real bras with cups though. I was not a baby or little girl. But Mom kept bringing me these little girl looking dresses and outfits. I finally got the courage up to tell her that I wasn't a little girl anymore and I needed something to wear that wasn't so childish looking. Mom put away the dresses with sashes and full gathered skirts. Instead she brought me A-line dresses and things like a dark blue, corduroy button up pair of shorts with a bib, straps and brass buttons. There was a red, calico heart appliqued on the butt of the shorts. It wasn't sexy at all. Just cute. Very, early 70's. She brought turtle necked, ribbed, long sleeve sweaters and patch pocket button up bell bottom pants in different colors. She got knee socks and pre-teen pantyhose for me. I even got some of those cool looking pantsuits that the top could be worn as a mini dress. My heels were a little higher on one pair of shoes. Once I turned 13, mom let me wear lip gloss and mascara. I think she let me wear a little Yardley eye shadow and some ginger blush. But she taught me that the trick was to make it look natural, so people would see me and not garish make-up, as in Tammy Faye. I appreciated my mother for letting me grow up at the appropriate time. I didn't wear true high heels until platforms came in when I was in the 9th grade.

Really is it any different then those parents who dress their 6-12mo old boys in vest and tie ensembles for the meetings? (I'm guilty here too)
